There must be intelligent life down here

You don't care but...

I've started using a couple of new tools for the internet.

If you work on web sites seriously at all, you're probably familiar with FTP.  I've been using ws_ftp for ages now, and it has served me well.  But with the need to generate more money comes the need for new releases, and with new releases comes crappy features.  The version of ws_ftp that I'm using (admittedly not the latest) has this transfer window that really bugs me.

SpamCatcher

I installed a mail server on this box so that everyone could get their mail.  The software is called MailEnable.  It has many nice features, but does not include anything that limits the amount of spam that comes into an account.

Looking through the unsupported downloads on their site, I noticed that people had written these things called "MTA pickups".  Basically, you can tell MailEnable to run every message it receives through one of these pickups for processing.  However the message is left when the pickup is done is how it is delivered.

Dad's Birthday Gift

I drove all over the place looking for the badminton set, which was Berta's original idea, and something that seeming like a good gift.  But I wasn't having any luck, and really wanted to get Dad something for him.  And so I settled on a DVD of The Brotherhood of the Wolf.

Well, at dinner after we gave him the gifts, I touted the movie as an action movie.  But I hadn't seen the movie in quite some time, and didn't know if my portrayal was entirely accurate.  So I put my copy of the movie in on Saturday night and watched it again.
