Fencing

Ooh, descriptive - I bet that’s what you’re thinking. Anyway, it’s Phill from blackheart. Okay, before you start laughing, this didn’t happen to me, but to my dad, on his first ski-trip. We were skiing down a blue run for the first time (on that run), we were all doing okay, except dad - he wasn’t exactly the best skiier in the family. Well, to cut a long story short, he landed in a fence, doing the splits, his skis slipping from his feet, down towards the black run over the off-piste. Well, how we laughed. I wish I had a camera with me, and we kept going on about it. I’m evil - oh well. Night :)

i couldn't believe

I really want to win this contest. I just don’t have a great story about the snow. I racked my brain for one. Even though about making one up, but just couldn’t lie to win. I grew up in Missouri so there was plenty of snow - I just don’t have any good stories that go with it. I’ve got some for the cold, and then maybe for the heat. But none for the snow. Oh well. Maybe I can win next time! :)

It’s been.

Not enough snow: FFAF

Hey, the idea for a free for all day of the month is great, I think I’ll start next month myself…
Now the purpose of this post: I’m from New Orleans, Louisiana and we have very little snow here when we do have it, but this past Christmas it snowed so here goes. The snow here was very light and we could only make snow men with the stuff built up on the trunks of our cars. Of course we don’t have a lot of experience with snow here so I thought using the front defroster on high would be a good idea to keep my windshield from fogging up. Unfortunately the small cracks I had ended up merging and forcing a large one to form and crawl across my window. My snow incident, though minor, ended with a call to my insurance company and a replacement windshield for a couple hundred bucks!

Ode to a Hedgehog

The hedgehog, such a charming creature
With adorable little facial features
Button eyes and rubber nose
Quite a picture does he pose

Such a distinguished little gent
Trying to anoint a scent
Spikes like armor this funny clown
Bristling ball at slightest sound
